WW - Laco B-Uhr World War II oversized flight watch, issued to the German Luftwaffe, manual wind, 55mm x 65mm to lug tips, 26.5mm wire lug width, original Parkerized base metal snap back case, military numbers on inside of case back with correct and matching mvt number 15712 as well as the number "FL23883" found on edge of case, incredibly rare original oversized leather strap for being worn over a flight jacket has been cut to wear on a normal sized wrist, original black dial with oversized minute track along perimeter and Arabic hour indices around center, fully capped lever escapement, 22J, Guillaume style bi-metallic balance with blued overcoil hairspring, gilt sweep-seconds mvt signed "Laco 22 Steine," s#15712, triple signed.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright gilding, very light oxide to ratchet and crown wheel; nearly flawless dial with complete luminous material; original nearly mint blued steel kite hands; case shows hardly any wear, no dents or dings, retains almost all of its original matte gray finish, original leather strap remains supple and bendable; original crown shows very little wear; original beveled edge acrylic crystal with minor surface scratches. NOTE: Dial and hands test as highly radioactive!
